Bio
Born in Mexico, I’ve studied in several Mexican musical institutions to begin my formation and afterwards emigrate to Europe, living in France between 2012 and 20201, and in Geneva, Switzerland since 2023. I’ve studied with several composers such as Michael Jarrell, Daniel D’Adamo, Edith Lejet, and electronic music with Luis Naón, Tom Mays and Christian Eloy.
My music has been played by important music ensembles such as the Quatuor Béla, Quatuor Tana, Klangforum Wien, United Instruments of Lucilin, Ictus Ensemble, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, Ensemble Quasars, dèdalo Ensemble, NOMAD Ensemble, Appassionato Ensemble, CEPROMUSIC, Interwoven Ensemble, Imago Sonora, DR Vokalensemblet (Danish National Radio Choir), Latvijas Radio Koris (Latvian National Radio Choir), Ensemble Alternance, Ensamble de las Rosas, and by soloists such as Jodyline Gallavardin (piano), Gamin Kang (saenghwang), Jozef Elias, Oleg Tantsov, Michał Górczyński, and Elena Perales (clarinet), Franjo Bilić (harpsichord), and Askar Ishangaliyev (cello) amongst others. My music has been broadcasted in the Italian radio (RAI - Radiotelevisione Italiana) and Radio CEMAT (Italian radio dedicated to contemporary music). My music has been edited by the American publishing house ALRY and by the Polish Music Publishing House (PWM).
I’ve participated in concerts from diverse contemporary music festivals in more than 16 different countries such as France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Luxembourg, China, Russia, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Poland, Greece, Ukraine, Mexico, and in the United States. My music has received prizes in more than 10 different international composition competitions across three different continents (Europe, Asia, American Continent)
My musical aesthetics and thinking derives from french spectralism, which has been one of my biggest musical influences, being timbre and harmonic finesse a constant priority in my compositions.
Since September 2023 I am pursuing my musical studies in the prestigious Conservatory of Geneva (Haute École de Musique de Genève, HEM) in Switzerland, studying with the acclaimed swiss composer Michael Jarell, electronic music with Luis Naón, and with Katharina Rosenberg.
As upcoming projects, I have been accepted to the International Divertimento Ensemble Academy for a workshop for prepared piano, having my new work for prepared piano “Tres estudios cuánticos” premiered by the pianist Maria Grazia Bellochio in Milano, Italy, in June 2025. I have been accepted with a full scholarship to a full year residency program for composers in Ljubljana, Slovenia with the abeceda Institute, including future concerts on July 2025.I have as well received a new scholarship from the Mexican government in order to pursue my second year of studies at the Conservatory of Geneva, since September 2024.
